Jack Black and Mos Def team up for a great comedy that is well worth watching if feeling low. Nothing could be better than a movie about re-making movies. This film will have you recalling all those classic movie favorites as well as rolling with laughter. Don't put off seeing this movie, you won't be disappointing.

Mamma Mia!
The chick flick of the summer with lively music and comic relief from a well picked cast of actors. There are some corny moments yet still an interesting story plot with twists and turns. I do not recommend for any male to be put through the torture of this film, but suggest you see the musical if you get the opportunity.

Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins
A black comedy with some flair. Most of this movie was expected plot turns but the array of actors kept the story interesting. A basic story of a rich TV show host who's engaged coming home for a family celebration only to get a reality check. A good laugh when you're in the mood for southern crude humor.

The Dark Knight (Batman)
The Joker (Heath Ledger) made this film a success with amazing character development and classic dark humor. The film is more lengthy than anticipated by adding the story of Two-Face (Harvey Dent), but its well worth your money. A well written sequel with lots of action make it a must see summer flick.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army
A disappointment to comic book fans and a bust of a sequel. With great special effects and strong fight scenes this continuation looked better in the previews. The film had very little to do with the 'golden army' and more to do with royal twins and silly romance. A rental since the plot left the viewer unfulfilled.

The Other Boleyn Girl
Best unexpected drama film of the year. Grabs your attention and keeps it throughout with a well picked cast of actors, beautifully written script and carefully chosen costumes. The twists and turns of greed in the Boleyn family involving King Henry VIII lead to a tragic conclusion you will have to watch for yourself to uncover.

Vantage Point
If there was a film of the year to skip, this would be it. After 20 minutes I was sick of the plot, acting and 'rewinding' of the same events only with different camera views that never lead to any build up or drama. Save your money and time by avoiding this movie flop.

Hancock
A superhero story that will keep you entertained without any comic book hype. Will Smith's sarcastic humor and Charlize Theron's smoking body dominate the screen in this summer movie must see. Action filled with romance and great special effects; there's something everyone will love.
