The Edge of Love

Starting Keira Knightley, this film connects two women who share a love for the same male poet. Interesting filming and camera angles add to the drama that unfolds. The story was hard to follow at times and had a more tragic conclusion than I expected.

Flirting with Forty

Heather Locklear stars as a divorced mother of two who vacations in Hawaii for her 40th birthday only to fall for a young surf instructor. Your typical chick flick with awkward characters and korny lines. This is a a made for Tv movie for a reason.

Push

A sci-fi movie about two teens with special abilities that team up to fight a government organization called Division. The concept was interesting but a poorly written script made the movie drag and loose interest. Best to avoid this flop.

Knowing

Nicolas Cage stars as a science professor who discovers a mysterious "letter" his son receives from a time capsule at school. Some of the predictions lead Cage's character, John, to believe tragic events have and are about to unfold in our planet's future. It begins more as a horror movie and transitions into a silly sci-fi.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

A second epic battle with an abundance of new characters both human and machine makes for a lengthy sequel. Sam must team up with Optimus Prime in order to protect the world, but this time with more humor and battle scenes. Not as awful as critics have made it out to be.

Killshot

Experienced hitman (Mickey Rourke) targets an ironworker and his wife (Diane Lane) after they get involved in his business. Rourke plays the part, but the script lacks the spirit of a thriller with an abrupt ending. A last resort movie pick.
