Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck star in a drama working to solve the murder of a congressman's mistress. A strong cast and a well written script make this film intense from start to finish. Corruption at its core.

Gigantic
An unusual story of a mattress salesman named Brian who plans to adopt a Chinese baby, however he questions his future after falling for a customer named Happy. The characters are quirky and the pace of the plot can be slow at parts. The story has its awkward times yet pulls through in its originality leaving the viewer wanting more.

Labor Pains
A young girl is about to be fired from a publishing company when she comes up with a lie she's pregnant to maintain her salary. Over time her lies progress once she discovers the perks to having a bun in the oven such as free food and a promotion. Lindsay Lohan has poor acting skills to play the lead role but the story plot was interesting with light humor.

District 9
Aliens have landed in Africa and are living on our world in a slum district. When a government official tries to relocate the group to another area, trust plays a factor in the existence of both aliens and humans. I was pleasantly surprised by the thought in the sci-fi details as well as a well written script. Before I felt uncertain, but now its my top recommendation of artistic talent you should watch.

Duplicity
Two corporate spies played by Julia Roberts and Clive Owen team up to pull a con job that will land them a fortune. I felt the characters lacked chemistry unlike their past performance in "Closer". However, there was a twist at the end that made the slow build up of the movie worth the laugh.

An action thriller where a team of trained individuals in the future work to prevent a disaster that may end up killing everyone. It is more a UK film and includes some gory scenes. Overall, it is your basic futuristic film with a female trying to save the human race.

Sunshine Cleaning
A single mother struggling with the stress of daily life takes on a new job of a crime scene removal business with the help of her sister to earn extra money. The realistic aspects of being naive business owners as well as other daily oddities involving their dad makes this a touching film. It captures hope in a bleak situation making it a must see.

Miss March
After 4 years in a coma after his high school prom, Eugene wakes to find out his virgin sweetheart is in a Playboy magazine. Bart Got a Room
Danny is on a quest to find the ultimate date to prom while his divorced parents find their own new romances. This night has to be planned out perfect from the limo ride to the tux and even that special after prom hotel room that even Bart (the school nerd) managed to get. Full of laughs and easy to relate to, this movie is charming from start to awkward finish.

Horsemen
Dennis Quaid stars as a detective who discovers a connection between himself and the suspects in a serial killing spree linked to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. A tangled mystery with very graphic images make this a puzzle the viewer has to piece together. This film is a thriller worth watching.
