The Maiden Heist

A museum comedy of security guards (Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, and William H. Macy) who team up to steal artwork they've grown attached to before it's transferred to another location. The plot is basic with subtle humor throughout. Not the jewel it could have been, but ideal for a lazy afternoon.

2012

Action comes to the big screen as the "end of the world" occurs in 2012. Several stories will collide attempting to make it to safety, but who will survive? Much better than I had anticipated and great special effects made it enjoyable to watch on the big screen.

My Sister's Keeper

The youngest Fitzgerald daughter (Abigail Breslin) takes her parents to court in hopes of earning medical emancipation to let her chose to help her sister with leukemia. Warning: I must admit, I got emotionally sucked into this movie and cried throughout. Too powerful to make me want to ever watch it a second time but well worth the message.

Bruno

Austrian male fashion model travels to America to become famous. It promised laughs but was awkward to watch since it jumped around and was too blunt. Overall, much too gay for my taste.

[500] Days of Summer

A comedy about unrequited love that covers all the ups and downs of relationships. This movie is on my favorites list because right after I watched it I wanted to see it again and again. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Battlestar Galatica: The Plan

This sci-fi TV series comes to the big screen as the Cylons attacks in an attempt to destroy all humans. Filled with new world lingo and not enough plot development. Prepare to be confused, distracted and possibly let down.

Julie & Julia

Meryl Streep shines in her role as cooking star Julia Child. Her story mirrors that of blooger Julie Powell's (Amy Adams) 2002 personal challenge to cook all the recipes in Child's first published book. A lengthy film, so be sure to eat before viewing.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

Living back in Ireland with their father, the MacManus brothers learn their priest has been killed by the mob. Seeking revenge, the two return to Boston to finish the job. A clever sequel with plenty of violent action scenes and sly humor to boot.

The Great Buck Howard

John Malkovich stars an illusionist who takes on a new assistant in hopes of spurring on his dying career. The oddity of the characters and awkwardness of the plot takes away from the overall message. An intriguing concept but not worth the rental.

I Love You Beth Cooper

What happens when a top of his class nerd declares his love to the most popular girl in high school (Hayden Panettiere) during his graduation speech? A lifetime of fun crammed into one night. Predictable situations lead to some touching moments, but overall its a teen flick.
